# Scalio Cloud FAQ: Nexus, Consulting & Pricing Questions

> Answers to the most common questions about Scalio Nexus, Microsoft IT consulting engagements, pricing, data security, and getting started.

Here are answers to the questions we hear most often from new and prospective customers. If you don't find what you're looking for, our team is happy to help.

## About Scalio Nexus

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="What is Scalio Nexus?">
    Scalio Nexus is a SaaS platform for Microsoft Entra identity and access governance. It gives your team a unified view of your entire Entra estate — including users, groups, applications, and roles — with built-in tools for access reviews, automation, and security posture insights. Instead of piecing together information from multiple Entra admin screens, you get a single dashboard designed for governance at scale.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Does Nexus require installing an agent?">
    No. Nexus connects to your Entra tenant using Microsoft's delegated admin consent flow — the same mechanism used by thousands of Microsoft-integrated applications. There are no agents to install, no infrastructure changes required, and no impact on your existing environment.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What Microsoft permissions does Nexus require?">
    Nexus requests the following read-only Microsoft Graph permissions during the consent flow:

    * `User.Read.All`
    * `Group.Read.All`
    * `Application.Read.All`
    * `Directory.Read.All`
    * `AuditLog.Read.All`

    Nexus never writes to your Entra tenant unless you explicitly trigger an automated action — for example, disabling an account via an automation rule you configure. Write actions are always opt-in and require your deliberate configuration.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="How long does the initial setup take?">
    Connecting your tenant and granting consent takes about five to ten minutes. After that, the initial data sync completes in two to five minutes for most tenants. You can expect to be fully operational within fifteen minutes of starting setup.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I connect multiple Entra tenants?">
    Yes. You can connect multiple Entra tenants to a single Nexus account and manage them all from a unified dashboard. This is especially useful for organizations that manage multiple subsidiaries, business units, or customer tenants in a managed service provider model.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Is Scalio Nexus available in my region?">
    Nexus is a cloud-hosted SaaS service available to customers globally — there are no geographic restrictions on access. Data residency options vary by plan. If your organization has specific requirements around where your data is stored, contact our sales team for details.
  </Accordion>

## Data security & privacy

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Where is my data stored?">
    Nexus data is hosted on Microsoft Azure infrastructure in the United States. Enterprise customers can request EU data residency — reach out to our team to discuss your requirements before signing up.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Does Nexus store copies of my Entra data?">
    Nexus maintains a synchronized cache of the identity and access data it reads from your tenant in order to power dashboards, run insights, and detect changes over time. This cached data is encrypted at rest and in transit using industry-standard encryption. We do not share your data with third parties.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="How do I revoke Nexus's access to my tenant?">
    You can disconnect a tenant at any time from **Settings > Connected Tenants** inside the Nexus platform. This immediately stops all data sync for that tenant. You can also revoke the enterprise application consent directly in Microsoft Entra ID by removing the Scalio Nexus enterprise application from your tenant — Nexus will lose access immediately.
  </Accordion>

## Consulting

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="How long do consulting engagements take?">
    Typical engagements run two to eight weeks depending on scope. A focused security or compliance review is usually one to two weeks. Full Azure migrations vary significantly based on the number of workloads you're moving, the complexity of your current environment, and the availability of your internal team. We provide a realistic estimate in the proposal and flag scope risks early.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Do you work with organizations outside the US?">
    Yes. We work with clients globally. The vast majority of our consulting work is delivered remotely, so geography is rarely a barrier. Our team is based in the United States and coordinates across time zones as needed.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can you work alongside our existing IT team?">
    Absolutely. We're designed to work as an extension of your team, not as a replacement for it. We can embed within your existing processes, use your tools and communication channels, and transfer knowledge throughout the engagement so your team is more capable when we're done than when we started.
  </Accordion>
</AccordionGroup>

## Pricing

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="How is Scalio Nexus priced?">
    Nexus pricing is based on the number of users in your connected Entra tenant or tenants. Volume pricing and enterprise options are available for larger organizations. Contact our sales team for current pricing details and to find the plan that fits your needs.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Do you offer a free trial of Scalio Nexus?">
    Contact our team to request a trial or live demo. We'll walk you through the platform using your own environment so you can see exactly what Nexus looks like against your real data before making a decision.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="How is consulting priced?">
    Most consulting engagements are fixed-scope with a clearly defined set of deliverables and a fixed price, so you know the full cost before work begins. Retainer and staff augmentation options are also available for teams that prefer ongoing advisory support or embedded capacity. We'll recommend the model that makes the most sense for your situation during the proposal stage.
